Wedding & Personal Event ASL Interpreting Services
So your Deaf and hard of hearing loved ones share fully in life’s biggest moments, and no one in the family has to step in as the interpreter. Professional ASL interpreters onsite across Central Texas and by live video nationwide.
Life's biggest moments are meant to be shared
A wedding, a funeral, a baptism, a milestone birthday. These are the moments a family remembers forever. When someone you love is Deaf or hard of hearing, a professional ASL interpreter makes sure they do not just attend the moment, but live it, fully present alongside everyone else.
3 Bridges provides warm, qualified ASL interpreters for weddings, funerals, and family celebrations of every kind. We have served the Texas Deaf community since 2010, and we handle each event with the care and discretion it deserves.
A qualified interpreter makes the whole visit work
From the ceremony and vows through the toasts and the first dance, a skilled interpreter brings each moment to your Deaf guests in real time, so the people who matter most do not miss a thing on your wedding day.
Accessibility that includes everyone
Your loved one, fully present
Whether it is your Deaf grandmother at a wedding or a Deaf parent at a graduation, a skilled interpreter lets them follow every vow, toast, prayer, and story as it happens, so the moment belongs to them too.
Family gets to be family
When a relative who signs is asked to interpret, they spend the event working instead of celebrating or grieving. A professional interpreter frees your family to simply be present together.
Some moments happen only once
A wedding ceremony or a final goodbye cannot be done over. Qualified interpreters who prepare in advance make sure nothing meaningful is missed or mistaken.
A note on funerals: funeral homes are places of public accommodation under the ADA, which means they are responsible for providing and paying for a qualified interpreter. The cost should never fall to the grieving family. We are glad to coordinate with and bill the funeral home directly.
Everyone you love should get to be fully present at the moments that matter most. Our promise at 3 Bridges

Conversations that include everyone
A celebration is the toasts, the introductions, and the laughter between courses, whether it is a wedding reception, a milestone birthday, a baby shower, or a family reunion. With an interpreter on hand, your Deaf guests join the conversation and celebrate right alongside everyone else.
Why families choose
3 Bridges
We bring qualified interpreters who prepare carefully, work with warmth and discretion, and make your event feel seamless, so you can focus on the people, not the logistics.
Qualified, certified interpreters
RID or Texas BEI certified, never a stand-in who simply knows some signs.
Prepared in advance
We ask for the script, vows, readings, music, and names ahead of time so the interpreting is accurate and smooth.
Warmth and discretion
From joyful to solemn, our interpreters match the tone of the moment and hold every confidence.
The right number of interpreters
For longer events we provide a team of two who rotate, keeping the interpreting sharp from start to finish.
Onsite in Central Texas, by live video nationwide
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, we provide onsite ASL interpreters for weddings, funerals, and celebrations across Central Texas, and live video interpreting for livestreamed events and family who join from anywhere in the country.
Interpreting funerals and memorials with care
At a memorial or funeral, every word of remembrance matters. Our interpreters work with quiet care so Deaf family and friends can grieve, remember, and say goodbye fully present.

Questions From Families
Personal Event ASL Interpreting FAQs
Need More Help?
Explore Our Full FAQ
Our full FAQ page covers interpreting, billing, scheduling, legal services, and more.
How far in advance should we book an interpreter for a wedding?
As soon as you have your date and venue. Popular weekend dates fill up, and advance notice gives the interpreter time to prepare from your vows and ceremony details. That said, we also take shorter-notice requests and will do our best to cover your date.
Do we need one interpreter or two?
For anything longer than about an hour, two interpreters who rotate are the standard, so the interpreting stays accurate and energetic through a full ceremony and reception. We will recommend the right number for your event.
What should we give the interpreter ahead of time?
Anything that helps the interpreter prepare: printed materials like a program, script, or readings; the names of the people involved; any music or songs; the schedule or order of events; and any other details specific to your occasion. The more an interpreter knows ahead of time, the smoother and more accurate the interpreting.
Can you cover both the ceremony and the reception?
Yes. We can interpret the ceremony only, or the full event including the reception, toasts, and dances. Many couples also add the rehearsal.
Do you provide interpreters for funerals and memorials?
Yes, with care and discretion. We interpret visitations, funeral and memorial services, and graveside services, coordinating the timing with your family and the funeral home.
Who pays for an interpreter at a funeral home?
Funeral homes are places of public accommodation under the ADA, so the funeral home is responsible for providing and paying for the interpreter. The cost should not fall to the grieving family. We can bill the funeral home directly.
Why hire a professional instead of a family member or friend who signs?
Two reasons. A qualified interpreter conveys meaning accurately, which matters when a moment cannot be repeated, and it frees your relative to take part in the event instead of working through it.
Can you interpret a livestreamed wedding or funeral?
Yes. Through our video remote interpreting we provide a qualified interpreter on screen for livestreamed events and for loved ones joining from a distance.
What kinds of personal events do you cover?
Weddings, funerals, baptisms, showers, quinceañeras, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, family reunions, holiday gatherings, and more. If the occasion matters to your family, we can help make it accessible.
Do you serve events outside Central Texas?
Yes. We provide onsite interpreters across Central Texas and live video interpreting for events and family anywhere in the country.
